Rural and Agricultural Civil Construction

Who we are

Rural and agricultural civil works across the Hunter Valley and beyond

Keevs Construction delivers rural and agricultural civil works across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast. Access roads and driveways, dams, stormwater, culverts, creek crossings, shed pads and farm infrastructure. Built by site crews with senior engineers, under ISO-certified systems, to a standard that holds up over the long term.

We work across the rural and lifestyle properties that define the Hunter, from working farms through to wedding venues, vineyards and event properties around Pokolbin, Lovedale, the Upper Hunter and the Paterson and Allyn valleys.

Civil works for rural developments and agricultural projects

Keevs delivers full civil scopes for rural properties, working farms and lifestyle developments. Access roads and driveways, stormwater and culverts, dam construction and drainage upgrades, shed and house pads, creek crossings, retaining works and pavements. Senior engineers price and plan every project before machines arrive, and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems run through delivery.

Ready to plan your rural civil works?

Rural Civil Backed By Senior Engineering

When you call Keevs about a rural project, your first conversation is with a senior engineer who understands both the design side and what actually happens on site. We look at your property from first principles and shape the scope around what’s needed for access, drainage, structures and long-term use. You get clear pricing, defined allowances and realistic staging before any work starts, so the project is properly scoped before crews mobilise.

Our crews build to that plan, with engineers and supervisors involved through to completion. No loose ends, no unfinished drains, no half-formed access. ISO-certified systems and direct communication throughout, so the work on your land is properly planned, clearly costed and finished to a standard you can rely on.

All Keevs Construction Projects Are Overseen by Our In-House Engineering Team

Every build is planned, checked and delivered under engineering supervision to ensure compliance, performance and quality. Contact us today to speak directly with our senior engineering team about your upcoming project.

Certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 for quality, environmental and safety management.
What rural civil works does Keevs deliver?

Keevs delivers access roads and driveways, dam construction and upgrades, stormwater and culverts, creek crossings, shed and house pads, retaining works and pavements. Work ranges from a single farm driveway through to civil packages for rural subdivisions, wedding venues and lifestyle properties across the Hunter Valley.

Yes. Keevs builds dams from small stock and irrigation dams through to larger water storage projects. Site assessment, design coordination, excavation, spillway construction and compaction all delivered under engineering supervision. Council approvals and any required permits are factored into the project scope before work starts.

Yes. Wedding venues and event properties have specific civil needs: vehicle access for guests and suppliers, parking hardstand that holds up through wet weather, drainage that doesn’t flood the ceremony lawn, septic and water infrastructure, and crossings or paths between buildings. Keevs delivers these as integrated civil packages rather than separate jobs.

Senior engineers walk the property, review the scope and identify what’s actually required before pricing. You get a fixed scope with clear allowances, staging if the project warrants it, and a price that reflects the construction methodology rather than rough estimates. Variations through delivery are the exception, not the business model.

Keevs delivers rural civil works across the Hunter Region, including Pokolbin, Lovedale, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Scone, Maitland, the Paterson Valley, the Allyn Valley and the Upper Hunter. We also work across the Central Coast and broader regional NSW for projects of the right scale.

A general earthmover operates equipment and gets paid by the hour or by the day. A rural civil contractor designs the scope, prices the work fixed, coordinates with engineers, manages drainage and structures to specification, and provides documentation at completion. Keevs operates as the second, with ISO-certified systems and senior engineers on every project. Rural property owners and developers who’ve been burned by hourly earthmovers tend to be the ones who call us.
