Residential Subdivision Approach Works – Civil Package (Central Coast, NSW)

Residential Subdivision Approach Works – Civil Package (Central Coast, NSW)

Keevs Construction delivered the complete civil approach works package for a residential subdivision on the NSW Central Coast. The works enabled site access, tree clearing, stormwater connections and driveway construction for a new dwelling.

The project required close coordination with the consulting team, licensed arborists and Central Coast Council. Design changes during construction, an additional plumbing scope and a Council-imposed ground coverage condition were each managed through structured project administration, with works completed to Practical Completion standard.

Scope of Works

Site Establishment and Investigation

Temporary fencing was installed to demarcate construction zones, with full service location completed prior to excavation to eliminate strike risk. A pre-construction dilapidation report was prepared as part of the site establishment package.

Tree Removal

Trees were removed to facilitate subdivision works, coordinated against the project arborist report. Tree Protection Zone management was implemented around retained vegetation, with all removals carried out by licensed tree contractors under Keevs site supervision.

Driveway Construction

A new driveway and council layback were constructed, sequenced against IFC drawings and Council requirements for the subdivision approval.

Plumbing and Drainage

An additional plumbing scope was delivered, integrating new service connections into the approach works programme without disruption to the construction sequence.

Ground Coverage and Stabilisation

Specialist hydroseeding was applied across the disturbed area using a Rye, Tall Fescue and Couch blend, delivering the ground coverage required by Central Coast Council as a condition of the Subdivision Certificate.

Capabilities Demonstrated

  • Civil approach works for residential subdivision
  • Coordination of licensed arborists with Tree Protection Zone management
  • Pre and post-construction dilapidation reporting
  • Driveway and council layback construction
  • Specialist hydroseeding to meet Council ground coverage conditions
  • Internal preparation of as-constructed documentation
  • Full sequencing across council, consultant and subcontractor interfaces

Engineering-Backed Delivery

Design changes, additional scopes and a late Council-imposed ground coverage requirement were each absorbed into the programme without compromising the path to Practical Completion. Survey and as-constructed documentation were carried out by the Keevs engineering team and delivered to the consulting team and Principal.

This is the standard Keevs applies on every project regardless of size. Engineering capability sits inside the business, which means scope changes get resolved on the run rather than holding up the works.
